ABOUT JARRETT MAZZA

A creative writer.

Jarrett Mazza was born in Hamilton, Ontario and has been telling stories for most of his life. In elementary school he was awarded a poetry award for his writing skills and since then he has remained quite fascinated by narratives in all styles and genres.

In 2013, he graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University where he received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Contemporary Studies as well as a Bachelor of Education from the Schulich School of Education at Nipissing University. While completing this, Jarrett studied comic book writing and storytelling with Ty Templeton and Andy Schmidt, and then studied creative writing at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies and Sheridan College where he studied under his mentor and friend, Melodie Campbell.

In 2015, Jarrett began his Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont, which he graduated from in 2017.
